Amos:
The Country Preacher Listen to Sunday’s Message Pt. 1 / Pt. 2
Monday:
Amos noted that he was from Tekoa (1:1). We find Amos prophesying in Bethel (7:10-17). Bethel was known as one of the hot spots
for cultic worship established by Jeroboam (1
Kings 12). Amos was from
the other side of the mountain range, from the southern kingdom of Judah and
found himself in a foreign, hostile environment.
·
How did his background possibly help
him? How might it have hindered
him?
·
When in your life have you been
misunderstood or misrepresented?
·
What kept Amos going back or going? What does it take for
you to keep going?
·
Lord… please reveal Your word and will to me? Empower me to be the Christian you want…

·
Lord… please reveal to me in Your word, by Your Spirit, my blind spots and shortcomings?
·

forgive me for… cleanse me from…

Thessalonians 5:19-22) What
place do the Scriptures play in the life of a believer?
·
What place would you say the Scriptures
have in your life? What would the
Holy Spirit say?
·
Lord… reveal
your plans to be through Your Word.
·
Lord… by your grace help me to obey You, follow You, serve You… through the
Holy Spirit!
