Lord Jesus, show me the proper place of things for my life; especially the things that seem to distract me from a devoted life to you.

What were the religious Jews really upset about?
Why were they so torqued over this?

Why do you think it took three years for the disciples to figure out what Jesus was talking about (v.19)?
What things are occurring happening in your life that you are simply just not getting? Are they God’s doing or your own?
Lord Jesus, help me to make heads or tails out of your work in my life… give me insight into your will for my life.

Jesus knows our every thought and action. Have you entrusted you life to Him? Has he entrusted His life and message to you?
In worship tomorrow, are you willing to lay down your life on the altar in God’s house? To be authentic, free of the burdens of life and live a life that is zealous for Him and His work?
Lord Jesus, consume me with a passion for you and your house!
